Previous highlights for "Tom Clancy's The Division" showcased the title's supposedly superior multiplayer gameplay. However, the latest trailer for the game went the opposite, instead highlighting the title's single-player, story-driven missions.

The trailer, already uploaded by the game's publisher Ubisoft, gave viewers a hint at how the story and gameplay will be. Some of the missions involve agents working to find high-profile survivors in New York, such as doctors, cops, engineers, sand the like, in order to slowly and continually build the city up. The video footage also highlights the fact that the area map for the title will be so massive that players will need to contact their allies and set up shelters in different locations.

Meanwhile, as for the gameplay, the footage showcases that players can either fight their way across multiple opponents or combine tactics and firepower with some of the items available to the agents. Aside from highly specialized gear and items, agents can fully customize their load and change their weapons depending on the situation.

The video voice-over also teased a mystery plot in "The Division," where players will need to go to a specific area called "The Dark Zone."

Meanwhile, "Tom Clancy's The Division" will reportedly start its closed multiplayer beta soon. According to rumors, the test phase for the closed beta will go live across Xbox One, PS4, and PC before January ends. The closed beta will be available for players who have pre-ordered the title, or those who availed of the recently launched "Humble Bundle" pack by Ubisoft.

"Tom Clancy's The Division" will officially launch on March 8 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as for PC. Its story follows agents of The Division, tasked with cleaning up New York City after a devastation.
