Players can start playing the open beta version of "Tom Clancy's The Division" today.

Downloading of the open beta version of Ubisoft's open-world third-person shooter and role-playing game was opened for the Xbox on Thursday at 9 a.m. GMT/10 a.m. CET/1 a.m. PST/4 a.m. EST. Those who will use their PlayStation 4 and PC to play the game can start downloading on Friday, Feb. 19, beginning at 2 p.m. GMT/1 p.m. CET/4 a.m. PST/7 a.m. EST.

The open beta will end on all platforms on Sunday, Feb. 21.

According to Ubisoft's open beta patch notes, players will be given a special mission every day to complete their adventures. They will be rewarded for the combined effort, and a unique reward will be given to the best Agent who will finish all the tasks.

The notes revealed that the initial task of those who will download the open beta requires Agents to restore order in the city of New York after a smallpox pandemic befell the city during the Black Friday event. They also need to protect the remaining life in the city in order to succeed in their mission.

To do this, they must reach out and offer aid to as many civilians as possible. With each civilian rescued, players will be rewarded with a unique token of appreciation from the rescued civilian. They will also receive a gift from the game for combined community efforts.

Players are also expected to visit the game's discussion section on the Ubisoft's forums so they can offer their remarks on the game and talk about the game with other experiences while playing the open beta.

"Over the course of the beta, our Twitch channel will be live 24/7. During the stream you will find daily shows with the latest news, Let's Play sessions from some of the devs, and much more. Don't be shy: jump into the twitch chat, talk directly to some of the devs, and let us know what you think!" Ubisoft said in the open beta patch notes.
