American actor Tom Cruise has recently revealed the title for the next instalment to the long-running action movie franchise "Mission: Impossible," which will be the sixth film in total. The revelation hints a possible release date, and gives fans a glimpse of the possible narrative that the movie may have.

As it turns out, the official title for the sixth "Mission: Impossible" film will be "Mission: Impossible - Fallout," which the 55-year-old actor revealed through a photo posted on his personal Instagram last Tuesday, Jan. 23. The photo shows a typical movie set clapperboard, with only the title of the film and the word "summer" in it, which is the period when the movie will be released.

A separate post shows a photo of Cruise trying to get out of a flying helicopter, with no pilot, which most probably came from a clip in the upcoming action movie -- with the caption "We've upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can't wait for you guys to see more." Clearly, Cruise's motivation and drive to create more "Mission: Impossible" films have not died, and even promise more thrills and excitement for the next instalment.

The narrative of "Mission: Impossible 6 - Fallout" will revolve around agent and recurring protagonist Ethan Hunt, played by Cruise, as he finds himself with his former teammates at the Impossible Mission Force (IMF) organization, which takes on global threats. Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Alec Baldwin will be making appearances in the upcoming film, and Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, and the "Man of Steel" himself, Henry Cavill are slated to appear as well.

Also returning for the sixth instalment is returning director Christopher McQuarrie. Cruise previously suffered an ankle injury, while the film was being shot. Fortunately, it appears that the movie will be released right on schedule and will hit theaters on July 27 later this year.
