All Top Gear fans will surely want to see what the final three episodes of the show would have but it seems that the BBC network is at a loss on whether it would be wise to air it or not.

Mayhem struck the Top Gear show particularly that celebrated fracas involving Jeremy Clarkson and producer Oisin Tymon. Clarkson has been dismissed leaving only James May and Richard Hammond to hold the fort if Top Gear would continue its run.

There were initial plans to salvage the remaining episodes, retaining segments where May and Hammond are in but apprehensions on how viewers would be interested on them cropped up. Though it would entail a lot of editing, it seemed that fabricating the remaining episodes may not draw in the same rant that actual Top Gear episodes had.

Andy Wilman and Kim Shilinglaw were busy behind the said edits, reportedly enough to air at least two more episodes. But it seems despite that effort, a Clarkson-less show may not necessarily appeal to audiences who have been used to seeing the controversial host.

So with that comes the word around that the final episodes may never be aired at all.

Meanwhile, Clarkson will still appear in a series of live motoring shows though without any form of Top Gear branding. Mays and Hammond will still be around and the refurbished show will be known as Clarkson, Hammond and May Live. It will initially be held at Belfast on 22 May while other venues include Australia, South Africa and the UK.

As far as Top Gear is concerned, there is no word on whether the show would continue even without Clarkson. BBC's Top Gear began back in 1977 and is the most watched TV-factual program in the world.
