For people in search of a new and fairly affordable Chromebook, you may want to check out the refreshed Chromebook 2 from Toshiba.

Toshiba has made some perky enhancement with its latest offering, something recently unveiled and set to be released in October. Among the new features include a backlit keyboard which should make it easier to use for folks who are in dim-lit places, along with some Skullcandy speakers and an 1080p IPS display to boot.

Toshiba's Chromebook 2 will feature a 13.3-inch full HD display and will bank on an Intel I3 processor for its power needs. To make sure that it doesn't run out of juice, the Chromebook 2 will be aided by a battery that will be good for up to eight and a half hours.

The device's specs also include an on-board dual array microphones, 802.11ac WiFi, USB 3.0, and a USB 2.0 port for backup.

The Chromebook should be good for students or people who simply want a laptop for their web surfing needs as well as using applications on the cloud.

Based on the specs enumerated above, the Chromebook 2 does seem to offer a bit more than plain Internet use but of course, the best thing about it is that it is pretty much decent and affordable to consider buying.

The Chromebook 2, which banks on a fifth generation Intel i3 processor, will retail for about $429.99 once it makes its debut in October. Now, if that seems a bit too much hold on.

There is one that comes a bit cheaper and this is the Toshiba Chromebook 2 which runs on an Intel Celeron processor. This model costs a lower $329.99.

For folks who simply want to use the device as a browsing or minor app relying tool, the latter variant could be something suited especially if you are among the new folks to try these Chromebooks.
