Real-time tactics game, "Total War: Warhammer" was announced to be receiving new downloadable content soon; as such, an announcement trailer was recently revealed to officially tease what the DLC has to offer. From the looks of it, the new content will be focusing on the elves' storyline as they protect their domain from charging enemies.

Titled "Realm of the Wood Elves," game developer Creative Assembly stated that the incoming game segment will be by far the most ambitious one that they've come up with. The new game expansion, set to be released early next month, will be putting the Wood Elves in the spotlight as they try to explore other lands and at the same time expand their territory.

For those who are not yet familiar with the franchise, the so-called Wood Elves also known as the Fay Folk of Athel Loren is an elven race that prefers to live in seclusion. Moreover, it is said that these elves have broken off from the rest of their kind and consider Athel Loren as their home.

According to reports, the DLC will showcase these elven beings as they are bound to traverse The Old World and build military installations to further strengthen their defenses. Per the newly released teaser video, the elves will be equipped with bows paired with mystical arrows for their ammo. Furthermore, they will be accompanied by some of their forest friends during battle as the clip showcased oversized avian, rampaging forest walkers, and tree nymphs.

Aside from their mystical artillery, the elves will also utilize their own brand of spells. Furthermore, the expansion also entails the inclusion of higher elven beings.

"Total War: Warhammer Realm of the Wood Elves" is set for a Dec. 8 release. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
