Tottenham will play Manchester City on Wednesday night in a mouthwatering clash in the English Premiere League. It will be second against fifth in the EPL tonight, and goals are expected, between two of the most exciting teams in the Premiere League this season.

In team news, Spurs will be without Andros Townsend who is out with a hamstring injury. In addition Erik Lamela will also be missing through injury.

Meanwhile, for Manchester City Alvaro Negredo is fit to play after overcoming a shoulder injury, and that will be a massive boost for them. David Silva is also fir following a recent hamstring problem.

However, Samir Nasri, James Milner and Javi Garcia are all still out and will play no part today.

City can go top of the EPL tonight with a win. At the moment they lie second on 50 points from their 22 games, but Arsenal are just two points ahead of them having played a game more.

With the season now increasingly building towards its climax this would be the perfect time for one of the top four sides to make a good run and establish themselves as the clear frontrunners for the title. Just six points separate Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the top four, and this promises to be one of the closest EPL seasons in history.

Spurs will also of course believe they are still in it. A win today for Tottenham would move them to just four points behind City, and put them right in the mix as teams push to emerge as a pace-setter for the Premier League.
