Transformers: Age of Extinction became the highest grossing film in 2014, and it's only expected that another Transformers movie will follow this success—and indeed, there will be.

After Paramount Pictures announced a tentative release date for Transformers 5, the movie has been a hot topic among movie buffs.

However, there's one big problem: no one knows how the movie's going to be and most importantly, it remains uncertain if director Michael Bay will come back to take on the directing role.

And then, there's casting: will Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox reunite in the upcoming movie?

Not much is known about the cast or if Bay will direct the film, but what is known is that the movie is a work in progress.

It was also reported that Mark Wahlberg will be returning for a new Transformers movie, as revealed by the actor himself in an interview with MTV.

It's all settled for Wahlberg, so now on the side of the original cast members, Fox and LaBeouf, rumor has it that the two might reappear in the next film.

The rumors have yet to be confirmed but Classicalite quoted Fox as saying that although she was not sure if she would come back, she would still like to see a team-up with LaBeouf in a film crossover so long as "things are good between everyone."

Numerous speculations surround the film, but a few things were confirmed. One is that Wahlberg is committed to doing another Transformer movie and reprise his role as Cade Yeager, and the other is the plot.

Based on a general plot revelation, Transformers 5 will be introducing new robots. The ending to Age of Extinction also gave away hints as to how the next story will begin.

As Inquisitr reported, the most probable storyline will pick up from Optimus Prime's confrontation with Quintessons, and some action would lead to an end of the movie.

'Transformers 5' is initially slated for release in 2016, according to reports, but this date is unlikely because the film requires more time for production. A 2017 release is more likely.
