More reports about the plot of the much-awaited robot film "Transformers 5" come to light. On one side, it is being said that the film will be all about the mechanoids. On the other, there are speculations that it will be divided into two storylines.

Award-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, who was once the head of the writers' room for the upcoming film, stated before being put in charge of Hasbro's "GI Joe" and "Micronauts" franchise that there will be tons of visual efforts to be put in the movie.

This had media outlets believing that there will be greater focus on robots and less on humans in "Transformers 5." For a while now, fans have been quarrelling about why "Transformers" films tend to center on human beings rather than the mechanoids.

However, other reports suggest that while half of the movie will be pure robot action, a good chunk of it will still see humans at the forefront. The film will allegedly be divided into two portions, the first one focusing on mechanic and inventor Cade Yeager, played by Mark Wahlberg.

This half will allegedly be all about Autobots and Dinobots teaming up to deal with new threats posed by the Decepticons. The other half will be about Optimus Prime's journey into space and all the way to his homeworld in a bid to find his creators. Both major storylines will be interwoven by the end of "Transformers 5," as per reports.

There is also this persistent speculation that the upcoming film will feature the last flight of Optimus Prime. Apparently, new robots will be added with the likes of Blitzwing, Scourge, Cyclonus, Override and Red Alert while a new leader will emerge in the form of Ultra Magnus, taking over's Optimus Prime's post.

At the moment, solid details about "Transformers 5" are scarce but with development ongoing, fans should hear more about the film, which is scheduled to be out in 2017, in the days to come.
