An entire family in Arizona has chosen to live their lives as transgenders.

According to CNS News, an entire transgender family lives under one roof in Queen Creek, Arizona. The head of the house is a 62-year-old transgender man who calls himself Shirley Austin. Shirley's husband-to-be was born a woman but identifies himself as a man and is named Daniel Harrott, 41. Both of them have been married previously.

"It feels like you're getting to live for the first time," said Harrott in his interview with KJZZ. "And my children are getting to be who they've always wanted to be."

Their oldest offspring, 13-year-old Joshua, was born a male but now has long, brown hair and considers himself as a girl. Joshua claims she knew she was a girl when she was about 6 – 7 years old. Eleven-year-old Mason, on the other hand, was born a girl and now sports a faded hairstyle.

The couple is already adopting traditional gender roles – with Shirley already teaching Daniel how to use the chainsaw. Daniel, on the other hand, is teaching Shirley to memorize the stones in her engagement ring in case another woman asks. Daniel already does the yard work, and Shirley cooks meals for the entire family.

Daniel claimed that being transgender was in their family's blood. His grandmother's sister used to "cross-dress" a lot back in the day. This unusual behavior of hers scared Daniel's grandmother that she made sure nobody ever cross-dressed in their family.

Daniel was so confused that he forced himself into wearing makeup and women's clothing. He waited for himself to figure out – but it never happened, not even after getting married to a man and bearing two kids.

It was only until 2016 that Daniel figured where he belonged, in the transgender community. It was also in 2016 that Joshua wanted to join the Girl Scouts despite being born a boy. Not long after, Mason came out as a transgender boy.
