Windows 10: Transparent Start Menu images leaked

Windows 10 may be released with a transparent Start Menu, if a leaked photo turns out to be the real deal.

A constant Russian leaker who goes by the name of WZor posted several photos of the alleged Windows 10 version build 10031, including the supposed Start Menu for the upcoming operating system. Based on the recent pictures, the brand new login screen seems to be supported without having to tweak the registry. An image also shows the Start Menu with a translucent appearance, as well as several new icons.

Ars Technica reported that the Start Menu of Windows 10 for phones feature the same transparent appearance, but instead of the translucent tiles that are seen on the mobile OS, Windows 10 shows that the background for the Start Menu is the one that is transparent.

Also, the leaked photos show that there are a lot of other new stuff that are included in build 10031. Instead of finding any sign of the alleged Spartan browser in the set of images, it shows a few leaked release notes claiming that Spartan is currently being developed.

Several bug fixes are also shown in the new leaked images, as well as the improvements that Microsoft has done to help those who want to upgrade to Windows 10 from old Windows-powered devices (Windows 7 and up). Another notable improvement that is presented in the latest build is the OOBE (out-of-box experience). This means upgrading from an earlier operating system to a cloud-based software can be executed properly by Microsoft.

Although WZor's leaked images are captioned using the Russian language, tech site NeoWin pointed out that some websites will probably repost the images with an English translation soon.

There is no exact date yet on when the final build of Windows 10 will become available, but the Redmond-based tech giant is expected to come out with more details in the near future.
