Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ani (Rachel McAdams) are on the run from the federal authorities in the upcoming episode of HBO's crime drama series "True Detective."

In "Omega Station," the International Business Times reports that things are going to be messy for the two fugitive detectives. After the disastrous events that transpired in the past episodes, Ray and Ani will have no option but to hide and at the same time, find evidences to clear their names and solve the Caspere murder case.

They will also have to deal with the passing of their friend and colleague Paul (Taylor Kitsch). The two are determined to get the person responsible for his shocking death. In the show's promo, they appear to be getting justice for Paul by taking the matters into their own hands.

Meanwhile, Frank's (Vince Vaughn) secret plan is still underway. He will take care of his own business and take down the people who screwed him. As for when he will be using the fake passport he acquired in the previous episode is still a big question mark. It appears, however, that he is steeling himself to stay until he gets revenge.

Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming, said that the season finale of "True Detective's" sophomore year "will pay off in the end."

"I think you need to watch the entirety of it. The show ends as satisfyingly as any show I've seen," he said, speaking to reporters gathered at the Fall TV Previews by the Television Critics Association.

TV Guide reports that Lombardo has nothing but praise for the series' creator, Nic Pizzolatto, whom he described as "enormously talented" and "a bold storyteller." When asked if the network plans to renew the show for season 3, he said he already called Pizzolatto and told him HBO would be open for talks if he wanted to do another season.

"True Detective" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on HBO.
