Kim Kardashian picked up a copy of Jennifer Lopez's book, "True Love," and the new author graciously thanked the reality TV superstar for getting a copy.

She posted on Twitter, "#thankyou @KimKardashian for picking up your copy of #JLOTRUELOVE!!! http://Bit.ly/jlotrueloveamazon ..."

The hardcover edition of "True Love" was published last Nov. 4, with editions in English and Spanish. Originally just meant to be a diary or memoire of her "Dance Again World Tour" in 2012, Lopez reportedly later realized that she was actually writing a book.  But while her literary work talks about her experiences, her career, and how she moved toward a state of self-acceptance, she also said it's not a tell-all piece.

"I don't feel that it's my responsibility as a public person to share all the intimate details of my relationships..." the 45-year-old performer said in an interview with Associated Press, as reported by The News Star.  "I do feel as an artist it's my responsibility to bare my soul, use my experiences and share my lessons through my art... That's what this book does."

The book is meant to be empowering, as it centers on the lesson of loving oneself first.  For instance, many might find it hard to believe, but the singer, dancer, actress, fashion designer, song writer, and producer — despite her long string of accolades — admitted to having low self-esteem issues. She said that success had caused her to have confidence problems, which she wrote about in her book.

Also, Lopez has had her share of high-profile romantic relationships, but she said during the interview that she just wants to be on her own at the present and have friends. She also shared that she wants to get to know and love herself before she can learn to love someone else. She's not closing her doors, however, saying that if someone does come along, then that person can add to her happiness.

"Writing True Love has been a deeply cathartic, personal and vulnerable experience. If it were not for the love and courage given to me by my children, this story wouldn't have been possible," Lopez told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview last May.  "While I struggled with the decision of whether or not to release this book, I recognized that if it could touch even just one person then it would honestly become one of the most fulfilling endeavors of my life."
