Actor Tyrese Gibson (who plays Roman Pearce in the racing franchise) did not hold back when he publicly announced his beef with "Baywatch" actor Dwayne Johnson (who plays Hobbs) in an Instagram post with a lengthy caption.

The post showed Gibson, Vin Diesel (as Dominic Toretto), and Johnson in what seemed like a goofy selfie. The caption was another story though, as Gibson threatened to resign in the next "Fast and Furious" installment if Johnson, known as The Rock, would join the film. Gibson called the wrestler a "clown" and a "selfish champ" as well.

Previously, Universal Pictures announced that John Statham (playing Deckard Shaw) from the "Fast and Furious" franchise will get a spinoff, together with the wrestler, slated for a 2019 release. As a result, the supposed release of the ninth installment of the movie in 2019 was moved to 2020, which had prompted Gibson to accuse Johnson of causing the postponement of the release.

Gibson also claimed in his post that Johnson "[messed] with family and my daughters survival." Gibson had been vocal in his battle against his wife, Norma, over the custody of their 10-year-old child, Shayla. The court battles have allegedly crippled him financially. Norma had accused her husband of physically abusing her and their daughter, which had granted her a temporary restraining order against Gibson.

In another post, Gibson said that he was not mad at The Rock per se, but with his decision to accept the deal "without thinking of what I'm dealing with personally I'm almost broke paying legal fees." Gibson also added that he asked the "San Andreas" star to refuse the offer.

The actor, in an interview with People, maintained that he was innocent and told that the allegations thrown at him by his wife were false. Gibson also claimed that his wife's moves were aimed to tarnish his reputation.
