'UFC 2' news: Fighter ratings not yet known

Recently, players who caught a glimpse of a preview build of "UFC 2" were caught off guard by what they thought were some of the fighter's official ratings inside the game.

To be more specific, players were surprised when they saw that the game's developers had given CM Punk a rating of 85 despite the fact that the former WWE Superstar has yet to even have one match inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), according to Attack of the Fanboy.

Some fans had indicated that the rating of 85 may be too high for someone who has yet to participate inside a single UFC match.

In response to the commotion, the game's developers, EA sports, indicated that the ratings seen in the preview build were not yet official, meaning CM Punk's rating may be lower in the official game.

For his part, CM Punk responded to the fans saying he did not deserve the 85 rating by tweeting that they will be surprised when he finally makes his official UFC debut.

As of now, the UFC has yet to announce CM Punk's first match, although he is expected to take part in his first fight sometime this year.

In related news, it looks as though CM Punk will not be the only prominent fighter who gained his fame outside of the mixed martial arts to be included in "UFC 2."

As GameSpot reported, Mike Tyson will now be joining the game's roster.

Two different versions of Tyson will be included in the game.

The first version will be "Iron Mike Tyson," otherwise known as the iteration of the iconic fighter who fans were able to watch dominate inside the boxing ring. The other version is "Legacy Mike Tyson," also known as the iteration of the boxer with the face tattoo.

The two versions of Tyson will be available as pre-order bonuses for the game. Along with Tyson, players who pre-order "UFC 2" will also receive Bas Rutten and Kazushi Sakuraba.

"UFC 2" will be released on March 15.
