UFC 2015 news: Conor McGregor to sign nine-figure deal?

Conor McGregor has been known for his brash antics as well as his bellyaching, but the fact remains that he is a big draw in the Ultimate Fighting championship (UFC) circle. That alone should translate to big bucks, and it looks like McGregor will be getting just that.

Conor McGregor is set to face Jose Aldo this coming December at UFC 194 in Las Vegas, a match that should have taken place during UFC 189 had Aldo not gone down to a rib injury. McGregor went on to fight in that tiff and won over Chad Mendes.

With Aldo out, such, of course, paved the way for more criticism from McGregor. The two have shown how they hate each other and all that could be settled in two months time.

Now, before all that, McGregor has proven his market value, and it seems he is close to getting it. The brash Irishman reveals that he is on the verge of signing a ground-breaking contract that will show nine-figures.

Potentially, that could mean about $100 million, and McGregor got that, thanks to his negotiating skills.

"I came at them with fact, I came at them with numbers and I didn't go around about. I looked them dead in the eye," McGregor said during his appearance at The MMA Hour, according to Sportal.

"When someone comes at you with clear facts, there's only one thing you can do and that's respect it," he also said, adding, "You got to respect a good business, if you don't… then that's on you. I am very confident we will come to a deal and it will be in the nine-figure mark, and rightfully so."

With that on the table and once it does become official, McGregor can now jaw back at critics like Floyd Mayweather Jr. While he may be a long way off to what the American boxer has accomplished and racked in, he is most certainly headed in that right direction.

The stakes could even go higher, especially if he pulls off a win over Brazilian opponent Aldo this December.
