Jon Jones will, at some point, (probably in 2016) be back in the Octagon and many believe that it will likely be against old rival and current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

To date, there is no word on when that blockbuster fight will take place. But just the same, Jones is not wasting any time getting himself back into shape.

Now, hearing that Jones is busy whipping himself back into shape could only be normal. Seeing the months of uncertainty following that April hit-and-run incident as well as being meted a suspension could lead an individual to take it easy for a while.

Hence, it would not be surprising to find him not in tip-top shape, considering he wasn't aware he would be reinstated this early.

But hearing he could return at any time, the only thing left is a date for when he will make his UFC return and, of course, the opponent. The wise money is on Cormier, although it would be best to wait for an official announcement.

So with a new lease on life, will Jones get back on track and hopefully retain that "focus" throughout? Well, that remains to be seen. Right now, the safe answer would be yes since he is under probation. On whether or not he can sustain that and truly stay out of trouble is another side that has yet to be proven.

With his head screwed back in place, many are hoping that it would take a long time before it loosens again. Jones is a proven champion and a great draw. Whether the UFC admits it or not, this was one point that was considered in his early reinstatement.

Jones in early training does somehow send out warning shots that he is aching to return. And there is only one man who seems to be on his hit list, his old foe Cormier.
