Andrei Arlovski has been in the headlines as possibly the next opponent, depending on how the heavyweight title match between Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez turns out; although it may take some time.

And while that has yet to be settled, Arlovski makes it clear that he is up and ready to go by December at the earliest if the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) would have some plans for him.

Arlovski is coming off a win over Frank Mir, whom he defeated in three rounds. As far as his performance is concerned, Arlovski says that he was disappointed at the result despite coming out the victor.

The fact that Mir lasted three rounds seems to have irked the Pit Bull, saying he underestimated the American mixed martial artist.

"I'm disappointed because I didn't expect Frank could go three hard rounds with me," said Arlovski at UFC 191 via Yahoo Sports, while shaking his head. "I'm disappointed that I underestimated him," he added.

On his injury, Arlovski clears the cloud of any potential setback, saying that he had seen his doctor and that it was no more than a bruise as far as reports of a broken hand is concerned.

The Belarusian fighter plans to go back to training by October at the earliest as he tries to rest up before getting ready for another possible match this coming December.

Arlovski's recent unanimous decision win over Mir makes it four in a row for the Pit Bull and possibly sets him up for a possible title fight in 2016.

"Unfortunately this heavyweight division is tied up right now and the fight won't happen probably until March, the next heavyweight fight," White said. "We'll see how this thing plays out and we'll go from there," he added.

With that said, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for Arlovski. From the looks of it, he will likely be facing another opponent this December as the UFC retools its schedule in light of Werdum's request to have his fight against Velasquez pushed for 2016.
