EA Sports has shared fresh details regarding the upcoming Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting video game "UFC 3." The game studio finally revealed Conor McGregor to be featured in the game's cover. Also, it was announced that the game will be available on February next year, with pre-orders now ongoing.

As reported by Games Radar, EA Sports confirmed that "UFC 3" will be released on Feb. 2, 2018, giving fans ample time to reserve the digital copy of the game. Furthermore, the first official cover photo of "UFC 3" was revealed to the public, showing the MMA superstar McGregor with his championship belts on both shoulders. Given that McGregor is one of the renowned UFC fighters to date, it is not a surprising move from EA Sports to feature him on the cover.

It also appears that EA Sports did not give any weight to McGregor's defeat to Floyd Mayweather Jr. when the former decided to join a cross-discipline match in boxing. In spite of his loss, McGregor has already proven a lot in the world of MMA. To note, this is not the first time that McGregor starred in the cover of a UFC-based video game. What is more interesting is that McGregor is the first UFC fighter to be featured alone in the game's cover.

Aside from McGregor, "UFC 3" is set to feature other popular MMA fighters. According to Forbes, the confirmed playable fighters in the game so far include Anderson Silva, Demetrious Johnson, Georges St. Pierre, Tony Ferguson, Chad Mendes, Frankie Edgar, Max Holloway, and Francis Ngannou.

Meanwhile, it was also announced that a public beta trial is coming up for "UFC 3" after Thanksgiving Day. Players interested to be among the first few to experience the game should apply online via EA Sports' official website. Once accepted, the beta players can test the new features of "UFC 3." Some of the game modes expected to be included in the beta version are the Quick Fight and Fight Now Classic, Practice Mode, and UFC Ultimate team, which will allow the custom-created characters to join the real-life fighters in a group. The "UFC 3" beta will arrive in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1.
