UFC rumors 2015: Jose Aldo wants another crack at Conor McGregor

Jose Aldo continues to ponder on his next move but one thing is certain, he wants another crack at Conor McGregor.

Initially, that would mean that Aldo wants a rematch for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight title. As many perhaps have heard, it doesn't seem like such is happening. Frankie Edgar has suddenly been the name associated as McGregor's next opponent, and it seems Aldo is pretty much aware of it.

So if that were the case, what kind of rematch does he want?

Right now, it seems like he wants a match with McGregor, regardless if there is a title included or not. So in a way, he seems to hint that he will go as far as follow "The Notorious" to the lightweight division — a plan that McGregor has lined up.

That remains to be seen, of course, but as far as the featherweight division is concerned, it seems like he is fine to face off against Edgar just in case.

Speaking before sportv.globo.com, Aldo is not yet ready to turn in the towel despite reports before UFC 194 that he could hang it up.

"What I did in 10 years does not go out in 13 seconds. You win, lose, but learn in defeat. Soon we returned to be champions."

Aldo has suddenly lost the confidence of some, mainly due to the 13-second defeat that really caught everyone by surprise.

Other than that, Aldo has been known to hold up on his own and has not really been a UFC pet. Some believe that such is the reason why a rematch is not in the cards, which means Aldo will have to make the long climb back up again to contention.

But the thing is McGregor may no longer be there by the time he is tipped to compete for the title. If that should be the case, he is weighing his options — fight Edgar (or whoever) for the title he lost and/or move up to lightweight to even the score with the Irishman.
