The bug-filled and problematic Playstation 4 version of "Ultra Street Fighter 4" is set to receive needed fixes courtesy of its latest update.

Numerous game fixes are included in the latest update with arguably the most notable being the one that changes the famous "Press Start" graphic into the more console-specific "Press Options," according to Polygon.

According to Sony, the "Press Start" graphic was not a bug and instead, was included as a way to pay tribute to the older games from the popular fighting game franchise. However, Sony said the people behind the game still chose to change the graphic to the updated "Press Options," mainly because of numerous requests coming from players.

"Ultra Street Fighter 4" is also receiving improved anisotropic filtering and antialiasing for stages and characters, both of which are expected to address many of the complaints players have lodged about the game in the past.

As for the other changes coming via the update, the majority of them are directed towards finally fixing lingering issues that were in the game since day one. This includes fixing audio issues related to multi-hit combos, improved resolution, addressing font issues and even a player specific tweak meant to fix Guile's iconic Sonic Boom attack, according to Eurogamer.

Prior to the latest patch, the Playstation 4 port of "Ultra Street Fighter 4" was deemed so bug-filled that the Evo Championship Series organizers decided to use the Xbox 360 version of the game when they were still holding their tournament.

In related news, a new mod for the PC version of "Ultra Street Fighter 4" is bringing "Dead or Alive" characters into the fold, according to Siliconera.

The mod, going by the name "dsFOREST," allows players to use either Ayane or Kasumi from "Dead or Alive." This comes in the wake of an earlier mod enabling players to use Solid Snake from the "Metal Gear Solid" franchise in the game.
