Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Ultra Street Fighter 4 and PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners can expect to get their hands on it "early June". 

PC users will be getting their hands on the game a little later in August.

The gameplay will be more or less the same as Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade edition but there are some tweaks and changes.

For one, a host of new characters are being added to Ultra Street Fighter IV - Elena, Rolento, Poison, Hugo and Decapre.

Rolento and Decapre hail from the Street Fighter Alpha series, while Poison and Hugo are from Final Fight and Street Fighter 3.

There is also a new training mode that allows gamers to get some practice in with characters they may not have played so much, and try out new combos before going head to head with online challengers.

The Training Mode Fight Request feature makes for a nice alternative to playing in Arcade Mode.

Additional features include built-in YouTube uploading and the ability to rewatch local multiplayer games. 

There will also be six new stages to the game taken from Street Fighter X Tekken - Blast Furnace, Jurassic Era Research Facility, Pit Stop 109, Mad Gear Hideout, Half-Pipe and Cosmic Elevator. 

Capcom has confirmed that the digital upgrade will be available from "early June", followed by release to retail.
