'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' release date, gameplay, features: Upcoming game to offer 'strongest beginning' and 'divisive ending'

According to developer Naughty Dog, the upcoming "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has such a particularly moving and powerful narrative that it may overshadow another fan-favorite, "The Last of Us."

In a recent interview with PlayStation Spain (via NeoGAF), Naughty Dog's communications director Arne Meyer claimed that the opening sequence for the upcoming Nathan Drake adventure is so moving that it may be compared with another Naughty Dog title, "The Last of Us." Meyer also stated that in his opinion, the starting narrative for the upcoming "Uncharted" series installment is the best one.

The communications director has been quoted as saying, "In my personal opinion, this is our strongest beginning, opening sequence for games since 'The Last of Us,' which was obviously very emotional. But I think this is probably one of the best opening sequences as well. That feeling of wanting to keep playing and wanting to know where it goes continues the entire game."

Although Meyer may make this claim as an employee of Naughty Dog, it seems that there may be some truth to the claim since "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is the final installment featuring Nathan Drake. The studio claims that they have pulled out all the stops in developing the title.

Meanwhile, it also seems that "Uncharted 4" will be the best game yet for Naughty Dog, since apart from the moving opening, the title will also offer a "divisive ending." In a recent interview with IGN, creative director Neil Druckmann said, "I think people will discuss the ending. If focus tests are anything to go by, there will be some arguments about the ending."

After some delays, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has a scheduled roll-out early next month. It lands on store shelves on May 10 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
