According to a report from GamesRadar, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be released for the PlayStation 4 prior to or on March 31, 2016. This is based on a Sony financial document that includes the game as part of its current fiscal year, indicating that the company plans on releasing the title before the fiscal year is over.

Sony's current fiscal year ends on March 31, 2016 which is why the report speculates that the game will be released no later than that date. Developer Naughty Dog, as cited by GamesRadar, also stated that the game will be made available in early spring next year after its 2015 release window was delayed and moved.

"Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, more of the game and story have come together," directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann explained, back when the delay to 2016 was initially announced, "and it's become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned."

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" takes place roughly three years after the events in "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" and protagonist Nathan Drake is now a retired treasure hunter living a normal life. Everything goes haywire, however, when his older brother Sam, believed to be deceased, turns up and asks for Drake's assistance. Drake is forced out of retirement and, together with his brother, he hunts for the fabled pirate colony of Libertatia and the treasures it may hold.

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is a PlayStation 4 exclusive. The official website for the game describes it as follows: "His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves."

Sony and Naughty Dog have yet to announce the official release date of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."
