Reportedly, developer Naughty Dog pulled out all the stops for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." This will be evident in the game's ending, which is said to be "divisive" and thus can cause arguments among hardcore fans of the franchise.

According to IGN, since the upcoming "Uncharted" installment is the last journey for series protagonist Nathan Drake, the developers gave their all to make the best game for the franchise.

Creative director Neil Druckmann told the industry follower, "I think people will discuss the ending. If focus tests are anything to go by, there will be some arguments about the ending."

Druckmann added that the final moments leading to the game's credits will be one to look out for, and hardcore fans will have mixed reactions to it.

"I'm excited. Indifference would be the worst thing. I would rather have people hate it than be indifferent to it. We'll see how they react," the creative director stated.

Meanwhile, first impressions of the upcoming franchise sequel are positive and fans can't wait until the full version rolls out. A recent gameplay event showcased a brief demo version of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," and initial observations of the gameplay, interface, and design are optimistic.

According to Sid Shuman of Sony PlayStation U.S., Nathan Drake never looked and moved better. Writing on the company blog, Shuman revealed, "After dropping from a tall height, he stumbles awkwardly; while pulling a winch, he smoothly passes the cable to his other hand when he changes direction; he even shifts gears in his 4×4 at the appropriate times."

This attention to detail is one of the strengths of the final Nathan Drake adventure. The industry observer added, "These tiny details stack up over time, steadily creating an illusion that you're somehow controlling a real guy on a very ill-advised adventure. It's uncanny."

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on May 10.
