Developer Naughty Dog has confirmed that the first multiplayer update for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be rolling out this week.

According to an announcement posted on the Naughty Dog website, the developer will be releasing a major expansion content pack on Wednesday, June 29. This marks the first-ever DLC for the multiplayer feature of "Uncharted 4. While the developer did not go into details on what improvements and new features the "MP Pack 1" will have, Naughty Dog did tease that, "We're all excited about this release because not only does it include a lot of great content – like our first free map (!!!) – but it includes updates to Multiplayer that many of you have been asking for. We're just scratching the surface by saying it includes new guns, new boosters, new taunts, new skins, custom matches, custom loadout names, a revamp to Ranked Team Deathmatch, and more!"

The developer also hinted at surprise content for hardcore players of the game, as the post also announced, :There's one in particular we won't reveal here, but you can probably guess what it is if you've been tracking what is likely the most requested new feature by our community."

Meanwhile, aside from the major update for the multiplayer content, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will also receive a new patch, simultaneously going live with the multiplayer update. Patch 1.08 will improve and tweak the over-all gameplay and system for the game.

An early sneak peek into the new expansion content and patch will be broadcasted via livestream prior to the release. On Tuesday, June 28 at 11:30 a.m. PT, Naughty Dog will showcase and preview the new content on their Twitch channel.

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" launched on May 10 and is the last game featuring the main protagonist, Nathan Drake. Naughty Dog has yet to confirm if the franchise will continue.
