'Under the Dome' season 2 episode 1 spoilers; Stephen King cameo

Are you ready for "Under the Dome" Season 2?" Well, this season 2 primer should really get you going.

On June 24, Monday, the special episode "Inside Chester Mill" will air at 10 p.m. EDT. The special primer is an hour long episode and will recap the past events in season 1 and give a sneak peek of what's ahead in season 2, according to Celebrity Laundry.

"Inside Chester Mill" will also show short interviews with the cast and the executive producers, in which they will give hints on what to look forward to in Chester's Mill. Who's still trapped under the dome? What's the new threat headed their way? Who will live and who will die?

The first episode of season 2 is "Heads Will Roll," giving a clue that there will be deaths in the season 2 debut episode. Which heads will roll?

Season 1 ended with a Barbie manhunt and Big Jim rallying the residents and demanding justice for the crimes of Barbie. In the same episode, Norrie and Joe found a hiding place. Also, Julia wanted to save the life of a mysterious girl who knows the origins of the Dome, but she will need help from a stranger.

Season 2 will have 13 episodes and in one of these episodes, creator of "Under the Dome" Stephen King will make a cameo appearance. King also wrote the season premiere episode.

Neal Baer, executive producer of the show shared to USA Today: "It was fantastic to work directly with Stephen. He's been a real hero of mine and now I get to work with him." King will be a regular citizen in Chester's Mill.

This isn't the first time King has made cameos in his films, Neal said. "He often does little cameos, a la Hitchcock, in his films, so we thought that would be really cool if he did it again."

"Under the Dome" Season 2 airs June 30, 10 p.m. on CBS. The special episode will also be available to view online on CBS.com.
