Joe (Colin Ford) and Norrie's (Mackenzie Lintz) attempt to question the town's new rules will get them into hot water in the upcoming episode of CBS's science fiction drama series "Under the Dome."

In "Caged," Cartermatt reports that the lovebirds will find themselves in a volatile confrontation with the residents of Chester's Mill after castigating the new regulations being implemented in town. Meanwhile, Big Jim (Dean Norris) will be forced into duping Christine (Marg Helgenberger) to reveal her agenda after being captured by Aktaion. The powerful corporation has infiltrated the town to turn the Dome into an energy source.

Last episode, the councilman teamed up with Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) to discredit Christine, discovering the Dome's capabilities in the process. They went to find Eva (Kylie Bunbury) and Christine's camera, which disappeared. Their search led them to the Aktaion, thinking they have the camera, and found themselves in a standoff with Marston (Frank Whaley) and his brigade.

The leader told them they had the footage they need and that it contained explosive information. A team of researchers had apparently discovered an egg, which was full of clean energy source, in Alaska. However, the egg infected them same as the townspeople, and they committed suicide.

Elsewhere, Christine faced an uprising in town. On top of it all, the ceiling of the town hall collapsed because of a column Junior (Alexander Koch) took out, pinning workers underneath. But the therapist had several deadly plans up in her sleeves. First, she made Barbie (Mike Vogel) and Pete (R. Keith Harris) fight each other. Then, she convinced an emotionally distraught Abby (Bess Rous) to kill herself. Lastly, she set her attention to break up Joe and Norrie by cleverly using Hunter (Max Ehrich) as an accomplice. Will her reign ever end?

Meanwhile, Fashion & Style reports that the show may be in danger of being canceled or not renewed. The current season's rating has purportedly hit all-time low, earning only a 0.9 rating last July 16. CBS has yet to comment on the said speculation.

"Under the Dome" airs Thursday at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
