'Dragon Ball Xenoverse': Unlock characters with Parallel Quests, Collect Time Shards, Three Wishes

Bandai Namco Games Europe

The release of Bandai Namco's "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" has merged the massive multiplayer online gaming with the "Dragon Ball" universe, and fans have scattered all over the "Xenoverse" world in order to be the first to achieve the characters' list. This is very hard to do as there are 43 characters which gamers can only unlock as the story mode progresses. There are also several game characters that would be made as reward for promotions, such as a Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta for a Day One Edition bonus. This extra was announced via the official Bandai Namco Tumblr.

For gamers who would want to collect all characters, especially the secret ones, there are ways to do it aside from completing the story mode. Game enthusiasts who have already gotten far in the game have given three ways to complete the unlocked characters list:

Parallel Quests

For players to unlock Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegito, they must play all 55 Parallel Quests. Specifically, gamers must have completed Parallel Quest 37 at D rank to unlock Vegito, and beat all the quests to get SS4 Goku.

Collect Time Shards

Completing specific challenges will have the players get time shards, and they would have the chance to unlock both Broly and Bardock. To unlock Bardock, players need to collect five time shards, complete the Ultimate Saiyan story line, and finish Parallel Quest 52. For Broly, another five time shards is needed, a completed Bardock's Quest, and then complete Parallel Quest 53.

Three Wishes

The climax to every Dragon Ball story, collecting the seven Dragon Balls and making a wish will also unlock secret characters. Omega Shenron, Super 17, and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta can be unlocked by farming all seven Dragon Balls.

Players might need several hours of gameplay in order to unlock all characters, and Bandai Namco is still warning of server problems on its social media pages. As of early this month, the company is still fixing these problems and recommends utilizing the Offline gaming option or signing out of PSN and Xbox Live.
