As the world remembers veteran actor and comedian Robin Williams, his wife Susan Schneider has asked for privacy and asked that the world not focus on his death but the "countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

Williams, who committed suicided at the age of 63, leaves behind three children from his former marriages.

The actor was married to his first wife, Valerie Velardi, for almost 10 years. The former pair tied the knot in 1978 and had one child together, Williams' first son Zachary Pym Williams, before divorcing in 1988.

The divorce between Velardi and Williams wasn't as amicable as the actor's divorce from his second wife Marsha Garces. They were married in 1989 and statyed together for 20 years until 2008, when Garces decided to leave Williams when he started to drink again.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Williams' first wife Velardi left him due to cheating allegations with their live-in nanny whom she hired to take care of Zachary. Apparently, that live-in nanny is none other than Garces. After Velardi and Williams split, he married Garces as she was already pregnant at that time with their first child.

Before his untimely death, he remained married to Susan Schneider, his third wife, whom he married in 2011. Reports state that Williams was in deep financial trouble before his death. Williams had always joked about how expensive it was to pay alimony - which he paid for both Velardi and Garces. His divorce settlements could have been a huge factor in the actor's financial woes.

Meanwhile, Velardi has not made any statement or comment about the death of her ex-husband. But according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, this may be because she is helping his son get through the ordeal.

Velardi eventually went on to marry Ricky Fataar after their divorce.
