In the next episode of "Van Helsing," Vanessa Helsing (Kelly Overton) encounters Scarlett Harker (Missy Peregrym) who makes her first appearance.

A sneak peek and promotional photos for the upcoming installment titled "Veritas Vincit" was just released recently and showed Helsing meeting the masked Harker for the first time in a deserted hallway. The new character is equipped with double swords as well as a kitana. Harker appears to be wary at first of Helsing as she points her sword at her. However, they find some common ground and talk to each other in a civil manner. It appears that they may be on the same side as they are out to get rid of vampires. They both make their way to a computer where Helsing tries to get any information from the system.

In the sneak peek, Helsing is shown having a dream where she is being guided by Susan (Hillary Jardine) through the hallway. Susan was her close friend but she died last season at the hands of the insane vampire Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl). Susan and Helsing make their way to a sealed door where the vampire hunter is told to open it because there is a secret waiting in there for her. Susan suddenly appears to be a vampire which frightens Helsing into waking up from the dream. It remains to be seen what that place is and what secret is in store for the huntress.

In the previous episode, Helsing and Julius (Aleks Paunovic) sought out the demented Sam to kill him. She fought him while Julius blasted him with his shotgun. Sam fell from the church tower and splattered on the ground. However, when Helsing went to check if he died, his body was nowhere in sight.

"Van Helsing" season 2 episode 6 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 10 p.m. EST on Syfy.
