'Vikings' season 4 episode 2 spoilers: Gisla laughs at Rollo's attempts to change his image
Rollo (Clive Standen) seems to be willing to change his looks in an effort to win his wife's heart, based on a teaser for the next episode of "Vikings" season 4.
As seen in the sneak peak for the episode titled "Kill the Queen," Rollo is tidying himself up by asking his aides to cut his long, unruly hair and change robes that typical Parisians wear, all in order to get the attention of his wife Princess Gisla (Morgane Polanski). He even tries to learn how to curtsy when his wife enters the room.
But instead of being impressed, Gisla just laughs at him when she sees the new look of her husband.
Gisla has been very vocal about her hatred toward Rollo since that time that her father, Emperor Charles (Lothaire Bluteau), announced that she had to marry Rollo as part of their agreement to avoid the deadly Parisian attacks staged by his brother Ragnar (Travis Fimmel). She even tried to kill him when he tried to consummate their marriage in the premiere episode of season 4.
Could Rollo manage to change Gisla's mind and start treating him as her husband?
Meanwhile, Fimmel teased that Ragnar and Rollo could be facing their biggest feud as brothers in the upcoming episodes of the season.
"Rollo [has been left] behind in Paris to keep an eye on things, probably the worst character on the show that you could leave behind in a foreign country," the actor told The Sydney Morning Herald. "He's very easily persuaded. So a lot of season 4 revolves around Rollo and Ragnar's relationship. Ragnar believes that he's going to betray him again and he's had enough of his brother and ultimately the two brothers are going to fight, no matter what."
But is Ragnar well enough to fight his younger brother after being fatally wounded in his past fights with the Parisians?
"Vikings" season 4 episode 2 airs Thursday, Feb. 25, on the History Channel.
