It looks like a lot of people will receive the King of Denmark's wrath when "Vikings" returns for season 4.

History cable channel's history-based TV series featured the death of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) at the end of season 3, but it was later revealed that the King of Denmark staged his death so that he could enter Paris without any problem. But none of his family and friends knew about his plans.

That is why most of the people close to him decided to bid their farewell to the fierce Viking leader, including his former wife Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), trusted friend Floki (Gustaf SkarsgĂ„rd), as well as his traitor brother Rollo (Clive Standen). No one expected him to hear all their confessions, but he actually heard them inside his pretend coffin.

Last month, series creator Michael Hirst told The Hollywood Reporter that those who confessed beside Ragnar's fake corpse will suffer the consequences of their words.

"He's heard everything! He knows what people think about him. They were moving confessionals, really ... I'm sure Ragnar was smiling a little inside the coffin," Hirst said.

The series creator also mentioned that the three will "suffer from that later; there's a carry-over because they've confessed things that they would have kept to themselves otherwise."

Now fans are excited to see how Ragnar will react to Lagartha's confessions that she still loves him. Will Bjorn's parents get back together next season?

Also, Ragnar and Rollo's rivalry might get worse when "Vikings" returns next season.

Rollo received a pretty amazing proposition from the King of France, including a large portion of land ownership as well as his own daughter's hand in marriage. This could mean that everything Ragnar worked hard for will be in vain, and the brothers will be in a bigger feud this time.

"Vikings" season 4 is expected to return in early 2016.
