"Vikings" is quickly building up its pace in its third season as the main characters begin to make their way toward Paris for the largest raid of their lives. Season 3 episode 6, "Born Again," will delve into the characters as they all prepare for the upcoming siege.

In the previous episode, Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) refused to help his ex-wife Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) re-claim her lands because of his focus on the raid on Paris. This episode will reveal what she will do to fight back even when no allies stand beside her.

Kalf (Ben Robson), the usurper of her lands, will be joining Ragnar's Paris raid and this may be why he has no intention yet of fighting him on behalf of Lagertha. Whether this is a simple play of power or if Ragnar has a secret plan to help his ex-wife has yet to be seen.

Winnick told Zap2It, "With my character you never know what you're going to get. You never know how Lagertha is going to react. Each time you think she's safe or finally in a position of happiness or strength, you find out that she isn't."

According to the official synopsis, both Judith and Porunn will give birth in "Born Again" but the celebration of new life is also paired with the grief surrounding Siggy's and Torstein's deaths in the last episode. Death also surrounds the Paris raid as the Seer already mentioned that "the dead, not the living, will conquer the city."

The official synopsis also reveals Rollo's difficulty dealing with the Seer's prophecy regarding his destiny. Already burdened by the death of Siggy, Rollo may be making yet another scheme to ensure his safety and success.

"Vikings" may only be in the middle of the season but it appears that the events spun from its plot threads will give birth to major changes for the season finale. Enstarz reported that the History Channel is already putting out casting calls for over 8,000 extras to begin production for season 4.
