'Vikings' season 4 episode 11 return date, spoilers: Can Ragnar still depend on Floki and Lagertha?

New details about the second half of "Vikings" season 4 have been revealed.

Series creator Michael Hirst talked to Entertainment Weekly to discuss what fans should look forward to when the series returns for the remaining episodes of season 4.

According to Hirst, the next episodes of "Vikings" season 4 will pick up after Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) failed raid in Paris. During the midseason finale, the king of Kattegat was revealed to have hidden himself after his failed mission. Then he reappeared after being away for several years, but things are not exactly the same as before.

The series creator revealed that Ragnar came back with a mission.

"He wants to recruit people to go back with him to Wessex, to right this wrong. He talks to his oldest friends, his deepest friends, the people we've known from the start of the show," Hirst stated. However, Ragnar might have a hard time convincing his friends since he suddenly disappeared without letting anyone know where he went.

The second half of season 4 will also feature Floki's (Gustaf SkarsgÄrd) journey as he begins to reevaluate his life. According to series creator, Floki's reassessment of his life could lead to some astounding outcomes.

A new female character named Astrid (Josefin Asplund) will also be introduced when the series returns to History Channel, and she will play a huge role in Lagertha's (Katheryn Winnick) life, since she will be introduced as her new lover. Hirst explained why Lagertha suddenly found herself in a relationship with another woman. "

She's in a relationship with someone she feels more comfortable with, someone she feels she might be able to trust, and it's a woman," he said.

Could Astrid help Lagertha in her quest for revenge against Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), the woman who stole Ragnar from her?

History Channel has yet to announce the midseason premiere date of "Vikings" season 4.
