History Channel's period drama series, "Vikings" is set to return for the 11th episode of the fourth season, and fans of the show can't wait to find out what happens to Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) as he returns to his stronghold in Kattegat as a defeated and overwhelmed leader.

In the recently released synopsis, it is revealed that Ragnar's return will lead to a series of events in his own kingdom, where, upon leaving his domain for a very long time, he sees that one of his sons, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), has emerged as the one likely to challenge him to the throne. However, he isn't expected to be Ragnar's bet to replace him because, in his heart, he knows that Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) is the ideal leader. As a matter of fact, Ivar will be trained by no less than Ragnar himself to become the next ruler of the Vikings.

Going back to the events of the last episode, Ragnar was forced to pull out and abandon his plan of conquering Paris after his own brother, Rollo (Clive Standen), defeated him in battle. As a result of the failed conquest, it seems like the entirety of Kattegat no longer sees Ragnar as the rightful leader of the clan, suggesting that the upcoming episode will certainly be about who's going to be man enough among his sons to challenge him for the throne.

Because Ivar is expected to be the only one who will be expressing his desire to help his father among all sons, there is little question who Ragnar will favor. But obviously, it won't sit well with the rest, especially with Bjorn, who has come to build a reputation of his own.

Episode 11 of "Vikings," titled "The Outsider" is set to air on Nov. 30 via History Channel.
