The upcoming episode of "Vikings" season 5 will have a lot of tense moments for some of its characters — from landing in a new territory to formulating battle strategies.

The official synopsis for "Vikings" season 5 episode 4, titled "The Plan," reveals that the Saxons will come up with a battle strategy under the guidance of the visions seen by Bishop Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). Heahmund's presence is important in order to explain how religion can be utilized as an influence.

Apart from the Saxons preparing for another battle ahead, Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen) will also come up with a plan of his own as the Vikings continue to face more pressure.

However, that is not the only thing that Ivar has to deal with as he will have some conflict with Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). Lagertha may have been off the canvas in the previous episode, but in the upcoming installment, she is not only back, but she is also faced with the option to go against Ivar.

It is clear that Ivar has a lot on his plate. It is bad enough that he is already butting heads with his brothers. There is also the added fact that Lagertha has her own army, so being at odds with her is the last thing Ivar needs.

Meanwhile, Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) will land on a new turf and he will not be given a warm welcome by its residents. This leads Bjorn to try and convince the area's local commander that he is not a raider but a trader. If he wants to live to see the next day, Bjorn will have to try his hardest to convince everyone around him that he is an ally and not an enemy.
