A new ruler is heading to the upcoming fifth season of "Vikings."

Filming for "Vikings" season 5 is in full swing, and cast member Katheryn Winnick was recently spotted in Dublin where she continues to shoot scenes as Lagertha. The actress checked in on Instagram last week and shared a photo of her with her two brothers, Markjan and Adam. She also confirmed that they will be acting with her in the series.

Aside from the Winnick siblings' attractive blue eyes, fans have also noticed the hashtags in the star's post, which might be hinting at the arrival of a new "Vikings" character. The 39-year old wrote "King Angantyr" in the caption, possibly giving fans a clue about the new leader in season 5.

Den of Geek points out that the character could be based on Angantyr Heidreksson. History books state that he was the first Swedish ruler of the House of Munsö. There are three male characters with the name of Angantyr in Norse mythology, but the last Angantyr is likely the one appearing on the show.

All three characters come from the same line, and their stories typically involve the famed and deadly magical sword known as the Tyrfing. This weapon was crafted to cut through anything, easily killing a man whenever it was drawn out of its sheath.

The first Angantyr is known as Angantyr the Beserker and he died fighting for the hand of Ingeborg with his brothers. Angantyr Hofundsson is second in the line, but his life was cut short because of the Tyrfing. The last Angantyr is Angantyr Heidreksson and he was known for killing his brother, Hlod, to claim their father's throne.

In the series, this new ruler will have to square off with Harald (Peter Franzén), who is trying to become the first King of Norway. He must also deal with Wessex and Mercia's new king Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford), who took over the reins after his father King Ecbert (Linus Roache) died last season.

The fifth season of "Vikings" is expected to premiere sometime later this year on History Channel.
