For the upcoming fifth season of "Vikings," the show will be heading to Ireland and will be bringing in camels into the mix.

With the show gaining popularity over the years, IFTN interviewed the executive producer of "Vikings," Morgan O'Sullivan, to ask about his thoughts on the show and the production process for the coming season.

According to O'Sullivan, the historical accuracy of the show can't be specifically determined since the Vikings have no written history. The show is based on hearsay from the Christian point of view, which are mostly negative opinions because of the things Vikings have done to hurt the Christian community.

"Vikings" also hired a researcher to find more facts about the way Vikings lived back then and the things they encountered. All these facts are gathered for the show to turn it into an interesting experience for viewers.

"Vikings" has amassed a lot of viewers, so this upcoming season puts a lot of pressure on the producers of the show to maintain their followers and hopefully, gain even more. To keep the show interesting, the production of the show moved to a new location for the next season, Ireland. Viewers can also anticipate seeing the Vikings using camels as a mode of transportation in the show.

According to O'Sullivan, the location and the mode of transportation featured in this coming season are historically accurate, which makes the story even more interesting to watch. The goal for the next seasons of "Vikings" is to exhibit the Vikings' journey to North America.

For the next season, viewers could witness the death of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and if so, will discover who her killer is. The season will also revolve around the sons of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and their mission to get revenge on the people responsible for their father's death.

"Vikings" does not have a specific release date for season 5, but it's to be released within the year on the History channel.
