Because of an Instagram post shared by Alexander Ludwig who plays the role of Bjorn in the hit TV series "Vikings," fans are speculating he could be the new king of Kategatt once season 5 returns this year. The speculation began when Ludwig posted a photo of his character sitting in a throne with a caption that reads, "Mom! the meatloaf! now!"

Fans reacted positively to the post, with most of them supporting him to become the next king instead of Ivar the boneless (Alex Andersen). Some of the comments say that he is worthy to be king, and that he is the one true heir of Ragnar because of his character. Instagram user lipripper01 even said that he was unsure where the story of the show would go after the death of Ragnar but had his hopes up again after seeing how Bjorn transformed to a character he sees currently in the show.

The rest of the season has yet to be known since showrunner Michael Hirst earlier revealed in his interview with Variety that it will be Ivar's time to shine in the series. In episode 10, "Moments of Vision," Ivar emerged victorious after winning against Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) who was stripped of her power and defeating his brothers.

As of the moment, the series is taking its midseason break before it officially airs for its 11th episode. Before "Vikings" released its fifth season, History announced that the next installment of its hit show will be having 20 episodes, so fans are still anticipating for the other half of the season to return. There is no definite air date yet for the second part of season 5, but the show will resume later this year, according to a separate report by Express.

The remaining episodes of "Vikings" season 5 is expected to return this August on History Channel.
