"Good for You" singer Selena Gomez is headed to "The Voice" season 9 as mentor to coach Gwen Stefani's team. NBC confirmed the news via the singing competition's Twitter account.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, the singer-actress only had words of admiration for Stefani.

"I always feel like when I'm in the presence of someone older than me, I have this respect and I love that I can learn. I want to learn from people, I want to be around women who are, you know, nurturing and care and smart and creative," Gomez said of her mentoring stint in the show.

"It's just incredible to me to think of somebody that's been doing it since they were a child. The dedication and the years that she's put in, and to [not] only be so young, but have so much experience, is kind of incredible," she said.

Gomez will join musician John Fogerty, who will be the mentor for Adam Levine's team, as well as Brad Paisley, who will work with the contestants in Blake Shelton's team.

In an interview with People Magazine, Shelton said that Paisley has been "really been good to me, and so the fact that I was able to get him here and advise my team made perfect sense to me because he was actually a mentor for me." He added how big of a success in the country music field Paisley is.

There is no word on who Pharrell's team is having as mentor. It is, however, rumored that Rihanna will be a key advisor for the season.

As for Gomez, who starred in Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place," she will be releasing her new album titled "Revival" on Oct. 9.

Fans will see her doing some mentoring magic in "The Voice" season 9 when the show premieres on Sept. 21.
