Fans have mixed feelings about the finale episode of "The Walking Dead" season 5, but that does not stop them from craving for more information about the next season of the hit AMC post-apocalyptic horror series. 

At the end of season 5, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the group finally managed to resolve their adjustment problems inside the safe walls of Alexandria. But they have to prepare for a bigger battle that is brewing for the show's next season. 

Series showrunner Scott M. Gimple shared a few spoilers for the return of "The Walking Dead" through an interview with the Entertainment Weekly. 

" ... for a good while now, humans have been the bigger threat. At the start of our next season, that will change. I said the show reinvents itself every 8 eps, and we're doing it again, friendos. Now that these characters know they have what it takes to survive, what are they going to do with that power? How will they choose to live?" Gimple said.

He added, "Beyond answering those questions, we're currently putting into motion some of our most ambitious stuff yet, and things are going to get very big, loud and scary." 

Meanwhile, Business Insider reported that fan-favorite character Morgan Jones (Lennie James), who reappeared during the season 5 finale, will also return for at least one episode in "The Walking Dead" season 6. The vicious Wolves, also seen in the concluding episode, might also be given a bigger storyline next season. 

This could mean that more danger is in store for Rick and his group. This time, the danger does not only come in the form of the undead, since even the living could cause ugly deaths for the characters of the popular zombie horror-drama. 

"The Walking Dead" season 6 is scheduled to air this fall.
