"The Walking Dead" may be foreshadowing some falling out between two of its most efficient zombie fighters.

Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) make one of the most interesting duos in the hit AMC zombie apocalypse drama. Both of them are dangerous with different weaponries and can work efficiently without needing to verbalize things out. If any dangerous mission is out there, these two would find a way to make work.

However, in the recent episode of "The Walking Dead" it seems that their friendship might get tested as they wage their war on Negan and his saviors. It would be remembered that when Morales (Juan Gabriel Pareja) cornered Rick, Daryl went to his rescue and shot the man with an arrow without any second thoughts, and this seemed to have shocked Rick.

Later on, Daryl shot a Savior shortly after getting the information they needed. These events and Reedus' comments on "The Talking Dead" may indicate that the two may find themselves on different sides of some group decisions, even if they share the goal of eliminating the danger of Negan and his Saviors.

This season has been packed with a lot action as the combined communities of Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom have launched a concerted attack on the Saviors. Rick and Daryl were tasked to raid a Savior compound to steal several stashed guns, but things went horribly wrong and the found themselves fighting their way out of it.

While fans of "The Walking Dead" may be a bit shocked to see Daryl's ruthlessness, it should not come as a surprise as he underwent some emotionally breaking treatment when he was kept as a prisoner by the Saviors in the Sanctuary. He was physically and mentally tortured with the guilt of what happened to Glenn (Steven Yuen). His death clearly affected Daryl and the fact that he was tortured also added to his rising anger against this season's villains.

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday, 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
