"Warcraft" is one of the firsts in the extremely grand movie lineup for 2016. While there is still more than a year of waiting before the multiplayer video game expectedly transforms into a huge silver screen chartbuster, fans can already jump with joy for the goodies and niceties that were all revealed at the recent BlizzCon 2014.

During the event, "Warcraft" director Duncan Jones said that the upcoming movie adaptation of the runaway success franchise will not be short of special effects, describing the full-size project as "Avatar and Lord of the Rings at the same time." According to Game Spot, Lucasfilm's Industrial Light & Magic will take care of all the awe-inspiring spectacle of the "gritty and real" blend of live-action and CGI.  

After the event, enthusiasts of the epic fantasy and adventure video game series learned of the characters that will be thrown in to the cinematic and rather larger-than-life warfare between Alliance and Horde.  

On the Alliance side, fans will be happy to know that Azeroth knight champion Anduin Lothar will be played by Travis Fimmel, an actor who now holds an imposing film background filled with swords and combats. Dominic Cooper, who is known for his gig in "Iron Man" movies, will assume the role of Stormwind royalty King Llane Wrynn. He will conspire and connive with his most trusted Queen, Lady Taria to be played by Ruth Negga. "X-Men" star Ben Foster will take on the role of the powerful wizard and The Last Guardian, Medivh.  

Horde starts off with Robert Kazinsky as Orgrim, the warchief bearer of the Doomhammer. Toby Kebell will play Frostwolf chieftain, Durotan. Clancy Brown, as what Cinematic Blend commented, is perfect for the role of The Destroyer a.k.a. Blackhand. The actor is deemed to easily morph into a convincing coldblooded combatant in the film. Highest of the leaders in the Orc realm is Gul'Dan. Daniel Wu is the actor to give this time-honored warlock the cinematic facade. Ben Schnetzer will be one of the most formidable and most adroit wizards in the dominion, Khadgar, while "Mission Impossible" actress Paula Patton will portray Garona, the half-Orc warrior in service of two opposing masters.  

In addition, Blizzard even put up a display of the movie props during the event, one corner dedicated to one bloc. IGN took some snaps and the displays are looking spot-on.  

On top of all that "Warcraft" goodness are two promotional posters that will surely get everyone pumped and drawn in. The pin-up factions in the upcoming film were represented separately in the posters with a close up of cool and fine-looking weapons unique to Horde and Alliance.
