Developing studio Fatshark, which was responsible for creating the gaming titles "War of The Roses," "War of The Vikings" and "Krater," has announced that its adept team of developers are working on a new game in the "Warhammer" franchise.

The news came from PlayStation blog where the game's executive producer Martin Wahlund posted:

"We've been wanting to make a Warhammer game since a group of us at Fatshark started playing Warhammer Fantasy Battle together in our spare time back in 2004. At the time, we lacked the experience and the team to build a game that we felt would live up to our dreams. After having worked on a number of games and watched the team grow in size, we finally set out to build our most ambitious game to date in an IP that we are incredibly passionate about."

The complete name of the title is "Warhammer: End Times Vermintide," and as the name suggests, the secondary antagonists that the player will be squaring off against are giant-sized rodents. The game will also be featuring a co-operative first person gameplay, where the player's controlled avatar will be able to use long ranged attacks in the form of ballistic weapons as well as closed range melee attacks in order to progress through the game.

Similar to gaming titles "Left 4 Dead," "Left 4 Dead 2," and "Gear of War," there will be more than one player taking part in the battles. However, unlike the aforementioned titles, there will be a total of five players that will be working synergistically in order to survive the Skaven invasion in the city of Ubersreik. In order to make the gameplay less tedious, each player's avatar will have a different set of abilities in order to change the tides of battle.

The title is expected to be released in the second half of 2015.
