'Watch Dogs 2' release date news, updates: fans can watch launch trailer; 4k graphics supported in PC version

With the upcoming sequel to the "Watch Dogs" game nearing its release within the next few days, a lot of fans are wondering what the title can offer. As such, Ubisoft has obliged eager fans and released a launch trailer for the open-world game, and it features "Watch Dogs 2's" new protagonist, Marcus Holloway.

According to Game N Guide, the trailer shoiwcased the game's hacker-centric story, which is set in the streets of San Francisco. Holloway — whom players will control — is an expert hacker who will be working for the hacking collective DedSec. He will go on a journey to stop crime, and as he tries to bring down corruption in the city, he will discover some shocking corporate atrocities. 

While "Watch Dogs 2" will be released for the Xbox One and PS4, PC players will have to wait for two more weeks before receiving their version of the anticipated sequel.

However, PC gamers will not be waiting in vain as Ubisoft promises that the game will be further refined for the PC version in order to maximize the overall gaming experience. After all, the PC version will have 4k support as well as the exclusive "Ultra Textures" option that can be toggled in the options menu. The game will also have an uncapped frame rate, which translates to smoother gameplay.

Meanwhile, Yves Guillemot — Ubisoft's CEO — said during a recent interview that the preorders for the new "Watch Dogs" game are lower than they anticipated. Still, Guillemot was grateful that the numbers of preorders for "Watch Dogs 2"  were not as crucial as it used to be in the past. He even went so far as to say that the game offers a fantastic experience, so they feel that it can still do well.

In any case, according to PlayStation Life, the Season Pass for "Watch Dogs 2" has some good stuff on it, but its performance still remains to be seen after it launches on Tuesday, Nov. 15 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
