It has been a week since "Watch Dogs 2" was released, and fans were charmed at the open world game's fresh premise as it slyly pointed out the gaming industry's diversity problems. Now, a new patch has been released by developer/publisher Ubisoft, which is being called as the "second phase" of the game's multiplayer feature.

In a statement from the company (via Engadget), Ubisoft said that players will now be able to experience the full seamless multiplayer features.

"Nearby bounty targets and Prime_Eight rivals will join the player's world for them to hunt down and hack without going through the Multiplayer App in the smartphone," said the company. "Players will also encounter friendly Dedsec hackers who can help them complete different Dedsec events throughout San Francisco. Players can also invite those Dedsec hackers to form a co-op team and complete co-op missions."

Before the game was released, Ubisoft discovered that the drop-in multiplayer was affecting the title's frame rate and general stability. The patch was created to solve this problem, and it was a swift delivery from Ubisoft as it only took the company a week to release the update right after "Watch Dogs 2's" launch.

The official "Watch Dogs 2" Twitter account posted a status update link on the microblogging site on Wednesday, Nov. 23, saying that players will now be able to access the multiplayer features. The link, which directs players to Ubisoft's Reddit page run by moderator electr1cpanda, also revealed that the company is working on a remaining minor feature called "neutral encounters."

The moderator said that this feature will only be activated once they are fully comfortable with the performance of the core seamless online experience. This feature is said to allow players to have random encounters with other players on the street in the game as they explore the world of "Watch Dogs 2."

"Watch Dogs 2" is currently out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
