'Wayward Pines' spoilers: Ethan discovers the history of Wayward Pines in episode 6

Wayward PinesFox

The previous episode of "Wayward Pines" finally revealed some information regarding the town and the creatures that lurk beyond the wall. However, some things still don't add up and in episode 6, "Choices," Ethan (Matt Dillon) gets the answers as he is given a full tour of the facilities and learns the town's complete history.

According to the official synopsis, the next episode will depict Ethan going through an elaborate tour. Perhaps he will learn who David Pilcher a.k.a. Dr. Jenkins (Toby Jones) really is and what secrets the man holds. The synopsis also states he will meet the personnel that watch over and govern Wayward Pines.

Kate (Karla Gugino) and Harold (Reed Diamond) will be planning a covert operation. Fans have seen the couple do some very disturbing things in the past, such as the instance in episode 2 when they were the ones responsible for Beverly (Juliette Lewis) getting caught and eventually killed.

Ethan's wife, Theresa (Shannyn Shossamon), will discover a map at the realty office. The map points out an unusual plot of land and she is set to investigate what might be hiding there. This might be another test or trap set by the people governing Wayward Pines or it might be a clue regarding the town's history and the monsters lurking outside.

The previous episode focused a lot on Ben (Charlie Tahan) and his teacher Mrs. Fisher (Hope Davis) as the latter finally unraveled the secrets of Wayward Pines. Apparently, the year is already 4028 and humans have evolved into monstrous abberations or "Abbies" as they are called. To secure humanity's survival, people from the past have been taken into this small town, which is believed to be the last pocket of human civilization.

It is still unclear how this is possible since Dr. Jenkins was seen in Seattle talking to Ethan Burke's boss and at Wayward Pines. Episode 6, "Choices," will answer the remaining mysteries.

"Wayward Pines" season 1 episode 6 is scheduled to air on June 25.
