The residents of Wayward Pines make their ultimate attempt for survival as the Abbies begin to take over the little town in the epic "Wayward Pines" season 2 finale.

Titled "Bedtime Story," the season-ender will see Theo (Jason Patric) desperately look for a solution that will save the town. It is now up to the doctor to figure out what the best way would be in getting through this war without casualty.

Using the cryo pods is not an option as only half of them are working. Taking this course of action would mean that half of the populace of Wayward Pines will have to stay behind and starve to death or be killed by Abbies.

Unless they can stomach the idea of leaving others behind (and they likely cannot), this would not be the way to go. The "Wayward Pines" season 2 finale trailer also shows Theo is not crazy about the idea.

There may be a chance if Kerry (Kacey Rohl), Rebecca (Nimrat Kaur) and CJ (Djimon Hounsou) put their heads together and use their wits to somehow make all the pods work.

However, Buddy TV believes that the Abbies will end up destroying the cryo pods anyway when they attack the town so this option might not work out well for Theo's group as well.

In the "Wayward Pines" season 2 finale trailer, however, it looks like Theo chose evacuation. Unfortunately, it is not going well as families are separated and everyone is fighting for a spot enough that it became chaotic.

But there's another alternative. It is heavily believed that in the "Wayward Pines" season 2 finale, the humans and the Abbies could, or at least try to find the middle ground and talk things through.

This is entirely plausible, seeing that the Abbies and their leader Margaret (Rochelle Okoye) are intelligent and can comprehend. They do not attack anyone unless they need to defend themselves.

With that in mind, the Wayward Pines residents might be able to work out a compromise with the Abbies. After all, they themselves do not intend to hurt anyone unless provoked.

"Wayward Pines" season 2 has shown that Margaret feels compassion and that she was intelligent enough to know that Theo and Hassler (Tim Griffin) mean her no harm back when she was locked up by Megan (Hope Davis) and Jason (Tom Stevens).
