Leicester pulled further ahead at the top of the Premier League on Saturday earlier in the afternoon. They gained a comprehensive victory over Stoke, winning 3-0 to go four points clear of City, although City still have today's game at West Ham in hand.

However, that means the pressure is on City, as well as Arsenal who are second, to get wins, or else the surprise dream season for Leicester could get even better.

West Ham meanwhile are sixth in the EPL table coming into this game but have the chance to move up to fifth.

Manchester United had another under par performance on Saturday, losing at Old Trafford 1-0 to Southampton. That leaves them stuck on 37 points and just two ahead of West Ham. So if West Ham can get a home victory over City today then they would leap frog United into fifth place, and also move to within four points of Tottenham who are up in fourth spot.

Last season in this fixture, City lost 2-1 to West Ham at Upton Park. That result came about despite the fact that City had 70% of the possession. A similar result this season would leave them lagging behind Leicester in the race for the Premier League crown, and with just 15 games to go time would be running out, leaving them little room for more slip ups in the coming months.
